I've been riding Bones quite a bit lately. Not for very long periods of time but, I think that's the best way to do it. He's becoming more responsive to ques everyday. I didn't have to use my little crop (it's so cute! it's a peace sign) very much the past couple of times I rode him. He is getting more comfortable at the trot and is going a little faster now. I'm hoping to try him in a canter in the next few weeks. But, it's going to be tough to do since the only arena we have at the place I board is a small indoor. My sister came out Monday evening and got on Bones for a few minutes. He did really well, just plotted along like a good little boy. I'm going to try and go on a trail ride this evening with my fiance riding George and me on Bones. I'll blog about it tomorrow if we do!

Glad he is doing well under saddle and that his lameness issue is cleared up. Be happy you rescued a gelding, just found out my rescue mare is 4 months pregnant... Its always something with that horse! lol Good luck on the trail ride. He seems like a pretty good guy so I bet he will handle it well. Keep us updated!
