So, I've determined that Bones has mud fever/scratches. I guess that's why the back left pastern was swollen. It doesn't seem very bad, at least compared to what I've seen on Google! Anyways, I think I've got a good little treatment plan to get rid of it. Other than the scratches I don't really have anything else to write about. Short and sweet is good sometimes. =)

Sheesh... you and bones just can't seem to catch a break. Poor guy! At least his belly is full and he has a good home now.
ReplyDeleteI know! I was telling my fiance that it's a whole new world with Bones. My other horse, George, is SUCH an easy keeper and never has anything wrong goin on with him. Other than he did choke pretty bad once (fatty has to scarf down his grain!) It seems like Bones always has some sort of medical issue, lol!
