Kazi

I'm kind of having trouble figuring out what to do with Kazi. As of right now, I have him for sale. I REALLY don't want to sell him. But, I can't help but to think that selling him is the right thing to do. Or is it?
The reasons to sell Kazi are:
 1. Selling Kazi would leave me more time for Bones. Two horses aren't THAT many to manage.. but, if I only had Bones I could really focus on him and finally find a discipline to start him in.

2. If I sold Kazi, I would have more money for Bones! Lol. I could board him somewhere with more accommodations, hire a trainer to work with him in our new found discipline (whatever that may be!), and spoil him even more.

3. It would please Jon, my boyfriend, if I had only one horse (zero horses would make him happier! lol).

Honestly, though, I don't know if these are good enough reasons to sell him. I sold Ollie in August, and she has already been for sale twice. That aggravates me so much! I didn't want her to be tossed around like that! And that's what I'm afraid will happen to Kazi. It's a scary thing selling horses.
I once had a yearling mule, Paco. I sold him to an older couple who had extensive mule experience who promised up and down that they wouldn't sell him.. and if they did, I would get first by back rights. They sold him a month later. They ended up being horse (well, mule) traders.

I just have a bad history with people going against their word when it comes to selling horses. I'm sick of seeing the equines I care about being tossed around. I can't have that happen to Kazi!!!

Blah.. I don't know what to do.
I'm going to write another post either later on tonight or tomorrow on riding updates.

  1. Selling them anytime is scary, in a down market it is really bad. Can you find someone to lease or half lease him?

  2. He is actually being leased right now, the lease is over at the end of this month. I'm going to talk to the lessee and see if she wants to extend the lease.
