7 things about myself: (This is going to be hard.. I hate talking about myself!)
- I love horses? Haha.. kind of obvious. Umm I've had horses since I was 10 (I'm 20, now). I rode at a Rocky Mountain Horse breeding farm where I took lessons, trail rode, and went to summer camp. My first horse was a gorgeous palomino Rocky Mountain weanling filly. My sister got my fillies 1/2 sister, also a weanling. They were, for obvious reasons, horrible first horses. We were 10, and 11 years old.. and our first horses were weanlings! So stupid. Lol We owned them until they were about 3 1/2 years old, at which time my mom gave (yes, gave!) them back to the breeder. I've had 11 horses (I included my sisters two, because I spent more time with them than her! Lol). Wow, 11 horses is too many for 10 years! I've owned a variety horses, including a mule!, and it's been a roller coaster ride. But, I don't regret owning any of them.. they've all taught me sooo much and have made me the horsewoman that I am today!
- Wow, number one was long! Haha Uhh, I work part-time at Wal-Mart. Obviously it isn't a very lucrative job, but it gets me by with enough left over money to spoil my horses. =)
- On February 27th, it will be Jon and I's two year anniversary. He's a great boyfriend and I'm lucky to have him!
- I started working at a Hunter/Jumper barn in exchange for lessons. I'm honestly really excited to start riding english. I love western disciplines, but soaring over a jump a horse that you love seems like heaven to me. =)
- Animals are legitimately my passion and always have been. Right now I have Bones and Kazi, and two dogs. Pippin is a 2 year old (Oh my God, he is TWO YEARS OLD!) Husky/Akita/Lab/Wolf.. aka mutt! He's only about 50lbs, but thinks he is 120lbs! I love him more than any dog I've ever had!
My other dog is The Terminator. My mom and I rescued his whole litter when they were about 5 weeks old. They are 1/2 Shih Tzu, and half some kind of Terrier. They were all underweight, extremely wormy, and infested with fleas AND ticks. Termie was the runt, and by far the worse off. To make to easier on us, my mom took two of the puppies to her house, and I kept the other two at mine. I had Termie and another male pup. We took them to the vet, got their shots, and got rid of their fleas and worms. We planned on rehoming all of the puppies, but we ended up keeping Terminator. For the first like 6 months he really had no interest in humans. Over the past few months he has really come around and bonded with me and Jon. We love the little guy!
6. Uhhh, what else? This year I am going to school to be a vet tech. Super excited!
7. I have 3 sisters, all older.

Jess, how special to read so many meaty facts about you!...haha, my smarty phone is a smarty a--...I did not write that"meaty" word in there...it did! Kinda funny.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the award...and the inspiration to share about me...I rarely do...just about rides. But recently, I added to my blogs title, "and other glimpses of life"...just so it would open the venue for me to add bits and pieces of personal tidbits. I sure enjoyed yours.
