Yesterday I rode Bones on the trail for the first time. He did sooo well. He did spook at a couple of little things but recovered extremely quickly and kept moving on. My friend was visiting from Wisconsin and we were riding in the arena (me on Bones, Sam on George) and we decided to ride a bit outside of the arena. This is was the first time Bones was ridden out of the arena. We weren't planning on going on the trail but kind of just ended up hikin' it down the trail! I'm just so happy with how awesome he is doing undersaddle. Sandy, the barn owner of the barn I board at, actually told me that she is interested in buying Bones. She said she loves him to pieces, and how could she not!? Hopefully I don't have to ever sell him but, it is really comforting to know that he has a wonderful home being offered. My other horse George is being half leased and Steve, the lessee, also said he'd like to buy George if he is for sale in the Spring. Again.. I hope I don't have to sell either of my boys but both of the homes being offered couldn't be better.

Hi Jess, I'm very glad to see that you started a blog about Bones, although he doesn't look like he deserves that name anymore. I'll be checking in from time to time to see his progress. Love what you've done with him so far.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Sounds like you have a great horse on your hands!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm so proud of him. I'm not sure if I want to change his name. But, I have been considering it. Any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteYou could just call him BeeBee (for the two "B's" in Bones to Beauty).
