Had another good ride on one of the other horses at the barn I work at.
This is Bittersweet. He is a 14.3 Polish bred Arab. I think he is 8 or 9.. but don't quote me on that.
He hadn't been ridden since October, before I got in him today. He did very well.. I would have never guessed it had been that long.
I lunged him for a few minutes before getting on. He was sooo willing to please and searched out praise. No silliness on the lunge.
We only rode for 20-30 minutes. Same as with Lincoln, we mainly just got to know each other.
I think Bittersweet and Lincoln would be adorable in dressage tack. They both have big, floaty trots that are being wasted on leisure western riding. =P
I got some cute shots of Bourbon and her pasture mate, Canyon, playing in the snow yesterday. Bourbon is growing so quickly! She is going to be a gorgeous mare when she is mature.
