The vet came out to look at Bones on Thursday. He said that is off in his right stifle. I have to give him 1 gram of bute/day, rub his stifle with liniment/once a day, and walk him up and down this big hill at the barn to build his muscle. Luckily, he said it doesn't seem very bad and as of right now it's an inexpensive treatment.
I stalled Bones and Ollie the night before the vet came, because Bones has been hard to catch lately and I wanted to make sure I was able to catch him for the vet. I went out a few hours before the vet came so I could let them loose in the indoor for a while to burn of some steam, and so Bones wasn't stocked up when the vet was there.
I got a chair and sat in there for a good 2 1/2-3 hours just hanging out with them. Ollie was so sweet- almost the whole time she had her head lowered right next to mine. Bones was more stand-offish. I gave them each a half of an apple, and some of my cookies. THEN Bones was curious and wanted to be by me. ;P
I believe that Bones has lost trust, and respect with me. I haven't been able to work with him a lot.. so maybe that's why.
He's always been somewhat ear shy, but now it's kind of ridiculous. He won't even let me slip his halter over his ears, I have to unbuckle it and put it on that way. Maybe he has ear mites or something.. but I can't check if he won't let me touch his friggin ears! I was thinking about getting some Calm and Cool or something of the sort, and checking out his ears that way.. but I'm going to try some trust stuff with him first.

It looks like Ollie and Bones are getting along! I think Bones has gotten a bit jealous of Ollie though :P He's like "Hey, what about me??" lol
