My little stallion (wannabe)

Yesterday I moved Bones and Ollie back to Sandy's place. When we went to get them out of the field to trailer them, Ollie came right up to me.. and Bones ran away.

It took us 45 minutes to catch that stubborn pony! Grrrrr.
Oh, and it was raining. Eventually he gave in. He was pretty convinced that the trailer was going to gobble him up when he first approached it. But, after a minute of letting him sniff it out he went right on.

He has a nice brand new stall now, which I left him in last night. Sandy's place is self care, and I prefer my horses to be out in the pasture as much as possible.. so his stall probably won't get much use. But, it is nice to have it in case I do need it.

When I got there this morning I let Bones and Ollie loose in the arena so I could clean out there stalls. When I was finished I got Bones out.

I groomed him, including finishing up some shedding of his. He actually has a little more to go on his belly. I'll probably use the shedding block one more time on him. He refused to stand on the rubber mat in front of the tying post, so I let him hang out to the side of it. Less moving around that way, so whatever. Haha
^^ He's getting freckles. =P
I was going to ride him in the english saddle, but the good girth I have for it is way to big for him. I bought another one that fits, but it's such a POS I feel bad using it! lol So, I used the western instead.

I just rode him around the arena a little bit. We worked on his "whoa" quite a bit. I took him out of the arena and went up the drive way. He didn't spook at anything and was acting good, so I decided that we better end up on a good note and went back to the barn.
I took off his bridle, but left the saddle on and let him stand there while I worked with Ollie. You can read all about Ollie's day, today, and other days by clicking here.
