Farrier woes

I had an appointment with my farrier and he didn't show. =| I absolutely hate when I get stood up! Obviously I am in the search for a new farrier. Again. It's so frustrating.. why can't I find a suitable farrier? I don't have high expectations.. I just want some who is reliable, easy to get ahold of by phone and e-mail (I don't have a phone during the day at work. So, I use e-mail as my primary contact source), knowledgeable, and fair priced. I don't think I should have to pay $40 to get my horses feet done. Shit.. I don't even want to pay $30. $20-25 is what I think is acceptable. Hey, if you charge a trip fee that is fine with me.. but don't try and charge me $10 to drive 10 miles. Bleh, whatever.. I'll probably just use the farrier my BO uses. I just don't like waiting for other people to schedule things.

 I've been riding Bones a bit and he is doing really well. I'm making it a goal to get a solid canter the whole way around the arena at least once. I'll try to achieve this by next Friday.
 On another note, I'm going to look at a free Arabian on Saturday. He is a 15.2HH Hunter bay gelding. He has been shown in Hunter Jumper. I'm taking pictures of another horse the lady has for my BO. This could be a great opportunity for me. I hope it all works out! I won't be taking the horse if there is anything majorly wrong with him.. I don't want another horse that I'll have to rehab.
