Winter sucks. I mean, I love snow and all but the freaking cold weather bloooows! And it hasn't even gotten close to how cold it is supposed to get. =| Winter is horrible for owning horses.. the ground is either too muddy\hard\icy to ride on, if you don't have heated water buckets/troughs you have to constantly break ice (Sometimes with your trusty foot that you think will be a great tool to break ice. Guess what, it's not. Do it and you'll have a foot emerged in ice cold water), you have to layer like there is no tomorrow to keep slightly warm.. which makes you feel and look like a marshmallow, etc. etc. Thank God the place I board has a small but much appreciated indoor arena. BUT!, riding in the snow is awesome sooo... I guess winter can stay.
Anywho, I haven't really stuck to my plan of working/riding with Bones everyday. Blame it on winter. Orrr, MAYBE I've been a bit lazy. Just maybe.. =D I have ridden him a couple of times, though. He does pretty darn well when not ridden consistently. I still haven't managed to get a good canter out of him; maybe he just isn't ready. I started to canter him on the lunge line thinking it might get him in the cantering mood but, no such luck. Actually, it makes him all hyper and bratty so, no more of that! I put Bones up for sale a couple of weeks ago ( I don't think I mentioned this on here yet). I priced him higher than I thought I could get. I had a few people interested but, no one came to look at him. And really.. I'm glad. I don't want to sell him. He's my buddy! My POS camera isn't working =( so no pretty pictures of Bonesy for a while. I know, I know.. all of you who don't exists care! =P
