The last time I posted, I had just found out I am pregnant. Everything has been going smoothly, we can't wait until the baby is here (not much waiting left)!
We have been to the doctor several times. All is good with myself and the baby. I went for an ultrasound last week, and we are having a GIRL! I'm thrilled. :D
My due date is June 3rd and it's surely coming up fast. In a way, I feel lucky to have found out (super) late in the pregnancy, just so I don't have to go through the lengthy anticipation. ;)
We have most of the big items already. The crib, crib mattress, car seat, stroller, play pen/bassinet, and glider & ottoman are all covered. I have gotten couple of clothes items, soft toys, blanket, etc. My boss gave me a nice diaper bag filled with crib sheets, receiving blankets, swaddle blankets, etc. She also bought the crib mattress. She is so generous and just a wonderful person.
I am hoping to get a lot of the necessities at the baby shower instead of a whole bunch of clothes. ;)
I did decide to sell Bourbon. The time a 2 year old horse takes is not going to fit into my new (and improved lol) life. She went to a great home, and they love her already. I was sad to see her go. She was turning into quite the looker, and such a sweet mare.
I've been going back and forth on what to do with Basil. He has kicked me, and the barn owner. I don't want to risk getting hurt while I'm pregnant, but I also don't want to give up on him.
I had a home set up for him, but they live three hours away and cancelled with zero notice three times. It fortunately gave me time to think on what is truly best for Basil. I decide that I will keep him. I found a great girl to do a work for lease with him during my "maternity leave". She came out today and rode him. He did great for her and I'm comfortable with her experience level.
I'm excited that I am keeping him. I love my Arabs and Arab crosses, he is an exceptional one.
