It's time..

..time to introduce my new girl, that is.

This is Bourbon. She is a coming two year old (02/23/12 DOB) Quarter Horse filly. She came from Last Chance Corral at 3 days old, meaning she is a nurse mare foal. Bourbon currently measures 14.2 hands (already grown inch within a month).

A little back story on how Bourbon became mine..

I had Weston, the TB, and Jasper, the MFT colt. I had been considering finding Weston a more suitable home, one who would train and show him at the level I knew he deserved. I finally made the decision to put him for sale when Bones' owner told me they decided to sell him. I was super excited to get him back, but had to find Weston a home first.

A friend who actually bought Ginger from me a couple of years ago, ended up buying Weston. I am thrilled with the home, the owner shows Hunters and wanted a Jumper prospect. A perfect fit for Weston.

I told Bones' owner that my TB sold, and I could buy Bones, but they had changed their mind on selling. :( It's okay though, he is n a great home and I'm happy as long as Bones is happy.

So, Bones' Bones' owner had previously mentioned she had a 2 yr old filly she wanted to find a home for. I remembered seeing the filly when I visited Bones, and really liked her. I told her that I would take the filly. They delivered her the next day. When.they dropped Bourbon off, they fell in love with Jasper and wanted to take him home.

We had to wait a few weeks until a new boarder came, so Bourbon wouldn't be.alone, but they eventually came back and took Jasper home.

Now Bones and Jasper have a home together as well as Ginger and Weston have.a.home together. Makes it easier to visit two barns, instead of four. ;)

This picture shows her maturing over the past month.
