Ollie FINALLY found her forever home and a new prospect is in the works

Well.. I think it is safe to say that Ollie has finally found her forever home!
I found an ad looking for a cow bred broodmare and decided to email them Ollie's info. They fell in love with her pictures and bloodlines. I had them send pictures if the facility she would be kept at.. everything looked great. So we set up a time on Saturday for them to see her. They opted to bring their trailer since is was a three hour drive.
On Saturday, they did some ground work, bareback, and just spent time with her. They loved her, she loved them, I loved them. It was such a perfect fit. They're going to breed her to Palo Duro Cat next year. They will also ride her and mentioned trying mounted cowboy shooting.

She is doing great and they're thrilled with her. This situation has put me in the greatest of moods the past few days. Ollie deserves this more than anything.

Which leads me to Pepperoni. "Pepper" is a 7 year old, 15.2 hand, Arabian/Mustang gelding. I met Pepper a couple of years ago brfore his current owner got him. I also wanted to buy him earlier this year before I got Nona but, the owner didn't think the barn I was at was the right fit. I put an ad on a local horsey FB page looking for a prospect. Pepper's owner contacted me and I was excited when I realized it was the same horse I have been interested in for quite some time. Pepper has pretty much been sitting this year, as his owner has several other horses she is training. She doesn't have to find him a home, but she would like to find the right situation for him and let him have a job. I told her what I would like to do with him (jumping, dressage, trails, play with ground work), and she thought we might be a good fit. I saw him yesterday morning and fell in love. Such a sweet and beautiful horse! He has some trust type issues, actually seems very similar to Bones. He was great to tack up, tie, etc. The owner did some ground work including walking hin through a baby pool and going jumps. She rode him WTC. I rode him only at the walk.. i just wanted to get a feel for him. I liked his size. He is really out of shape right now. With conditoning I think he will feel even better under saddle.

So obviously I loved him. We are going to do a 60 day trial starting on Sunday. I'm way too excited!
