I hope everyone had a great Christmas, I know I did! I spent Christmas Eve at my Grandma's house, with the majority of my family. And Christmas at my mom's house, with our "side" of the family. I had a great time at both shindigs.
Anyyywhooo, the mares are changing barns tomorrow! They're going to Sandy's, a barn I have boarded at a couple of times before. It's a self-care facility, with a small indoor arena, and lots of nice trails. I obviously had/have my reasons for leaving there before, but right now I think it's the best place for me and my horses.
I rode Ollie Bollie yesterday for a few minutes. There isn't really anywhere to ride at this current barn, so we just walked around in the walkway area. She was pretty jumpy about the saddle pad and saddle, so we did a bit of groundwork before I mounted.
She stood well for me to mount and get adjusted in the saddle. She hasn't been out in weeks (main reason I am moving farms), so she was pretty forward. We did a lot of changing direction, and relatively tight turns. Worked on stopping and backing as well. I seriously only rode for like 8 minutes tops.
Gingy is doing well, I think she is gaining some weight. I haven't done anything besides brush her since I moved to this farm.
Blah, can't wait to be able to get on my horses everyday!!!!!!!!!

Good luck with the move :)
