Trails, Posting, Conditioning, and Pictures!

Bones and I have been on even more trail rides, and he is doing just fantastic. I'm hoping all of the hills are helping strengthen his stifle. We're supposed to be going on an off-site trail ride on Tuesday, and I'll be taking Bones. He gets worked up in the trail, so I'm sure it will be an experience! ;)

Today I rode him in an English saddle. Honestly I didn't really focus on him very much, it was more about working on my position, and posting. I admit, I have terrible trouble trying to post. My legs can't seem to stay in the right position! I decided to go ahead and take my feet out of the stirrups and try posting with no stirrups. Yeeeah, that's hard! With only five minutes of stirrup less "posting" (aka my pathetic attempt at it!) my legs are sore! Lol! Ah well, it's a work in progress.

I got him a new halter, I really like it. I'll get pictures tomorrow.
Onto Kazi news! =)

I'm not sure if I've mentioned it on here, but when Angie first got him (Angie is who I got him from) he was pretty underweight, lacked a ton of muscle, and in overall poor shape. He is looking fantastic from what he did, but I'd really love to see some more muscle on him. So, I've decided to really try and "condition" him. Today I took his "before" pictures, and I'll take new ones every two weeks for... let's say, two months? I think it will be fun, I've never tried to put a horse into shape so it will be an adventure for both of us! =)
Anyways, here are the "before" pictures:
