It's ridiculously warm for January, so of course I am taking advantage of the weather.
Ollie and I had a surprisingly nice ride today. It was our first time on these trails together. We did the short trail in the Pine Woods, which took about 20 minutes. She was much more relaxed than she usually is in the ring. No spooks worthy of mentioning, no refusals, just a nice forward mare. I am very proud of her! She didn't get "focused" on silly things like logs, or large piles of rocks like Bones or Ginger have (I guess there is the difference between hot and cold blooded horses! =P). Just a nice uneventful ride! Makes me excited for rides to come!
I think my camera has finally called it quits, so I will leave you with one of my favorite pictures of Ollie.
